3/17/2011 -      WA PRA MORA 13(4), Stevens Canyon Road,
Phase I - The work described in the October 19, 2010 posting has become out-of-date. Today we are posting an updated Project Description with revised quantities/etc. We are also revising the project name, which now includes the words "Phase I". We have removed work occurring in the higher elevations of the project; the higher elevation work will be solicited later in a separate solicitation. 

This project now involves intermittent repairs over 7.06 miles of roadway. Work consists of compaction grouting, deep patching, stone masonry, drainage, paving, and other smaller items of work.
 

Work shall be completed by approximately October 30, 2011.  Estimated PRICE RANGE is revised to $3 million to $5 million.

Due to the early arrival of winter conditions, this project will NOT be advertised during the winter months. Advertisement is now tenetatively scheduled for May 2011 when the site is once again accessable for viewing.

This project consists of 10.093 miles of grading, drainage, paving, stone masonry, bridge rehabilitation, reinforced soil slope embankment, MSE wall and other small items of work. PRELIMINARY PLANS and a letter with additional project information are in electronic format only and are posted with this synopsis. When solicitation documents are issued, the INVITATION FOR BIDS (specifications and plans) will be posted at this link.


Work shall be completed by approximately September 30, 2012. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $10 million to $15 million.


This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Firms that have been certified by the SBA as a Small Business; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business): The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
