This is a Presolicitation, Request for Information (RFI).  This is GSA's first outreach intended to engage industry in an exchange of ideas that will assist us in refining our IT infrastructure service requirements and structuring the pending procurement for GSA's technology operations program.

The GSA technology operations program is the GSA, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) consolidated program that supports their role as the Information Technology (IT) service provide for the agency.  The initial GSA IT Infrastructure Technology Global Operations (GITGO) task order was awarded to Catapult Technology, Ltd. on February 28, 2007, and is worth in excess of $200 million over a 5-year period of performance.  The final option year for the current GITGO task order ends April 9, 2012.  In order to provide sufficient time for an orderly transition, GSA is anticipating award of a follow on task order/contract during the second quarter of FY 2012.

Please note, this is an opportunity for interested parties to provide meaningful feedback to the GSA, OCIO in the early stages of the need definition.  This should not be viewed as a marketing opportunity, but as an opportunity for good corporate citizenship to show your best interest in a more effective and efficient government.  Thoughtful participation is encouraged.
