AFMSTT is a collection of computer-based simulation systems and scenario and mission controller workstations (or "toolkit") employed to train senior decision-makers such as Commander Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR), Joint Force Air Component Commander (JFACC), Joint Force Commander (JFC) and their battle staffs. AFMSTT supports various military organizations by providing the air war simulation for senior commanders and battle staffs to train at the operational level of war. It is typically used in Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) enhanced, Command Post Exercises (CPX) conducted in support of mission essential tasks and responsibilities at the strategic and operational levels of war. AFMSTT also supports Joint/Service sponsored exercises such as, Flexible Leader, Terminal Fury, Unified Endeavor Sharp Focus and Austere Challenge. Still other events sponsored by coalition agreements are supported including Yama Sakura, Ulchi Freedom Guardian, and Ulchi Focus Lens (UFL), an! d Lucky Warrior. Blue Flag exercises are supported to train NAF; AFMSTT also supports Joint/Service experimentations such as Joint Expeditionary Forces Experiments (JEFX) and Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID). In addition, National Level Exercises (NLE), such as, Ardent Sentry/Northern Edge (AS/NE), Vigilant Shield and Amalgam Arrow. New initiatives, such as, AOC & NATO sponsored training events and experimentation are underway
