The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Research and Development Center (RDC) has a requirement for the design, manufacture, and demonstration of one prototype ice deflection system that can be used to increase the effectiveness of current oil skimmer technologies deployed in ice. This procurement is being solicited based on full and open competition. It is anticipated that award will be made on initial offers and that the solicitation will result in a single award firm-fixed price contract. The resultant period of performance will be 180 calendar days from award. Technical proposals will consist of Technical Approach and Past Performance. Award will be made based on Best Value to the Government. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541712, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology); Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. All responsible offerors may submit an offer, which the Coast Guard will consider. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database.
