Pre-solicitation/Synopsis Notice: Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) site work, utilities, and entry control point at Fort Hood, TX

This construction contract will be procured through a RFP process with a 100% Small Business set-aside.

This project will include the construction of the FY-12 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) site work including approximately 30,000 SY of airfield aprons, detention facilities and POV parking at an area for a future hangar (Hangar Facility not part of this advertisement). Work also includes an Entry Control Point to the area, utilities and miscellaneous paving requirements, construction of road improvement including repair and additional lanes and intersection work with stop lights. Also included is this project will be the demolition of a water tower and pump house.

The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $10 - $25 Million.

The RFP is anticipated to be issued NO EARLIER THAN July 6, 2013, and proposals will be due on or about August 6, 2013.

The 2002 North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 237990. The Product Service Code is Y1PZ. The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million.
