AMENDMENT 2 is issued:

AMENDMENT 1 is issued to extend the announcement closing date from 8/23/2013 to 9/4/2013

It is anticipated that solicitation will be changed to a BRAND NAME procurement.  Justification is in preparation and will be added as soon as possible.


This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number for this procurement is DTMA94Q20130023 Main Engine Generators and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-67 dated July 22, 2013. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): 333618 Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing.  Product and Service Code 2815 Diesel Engines and Components. This acquisition will be 100% set aside for small businesses in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(c). The size standard is 1000 employees.  For more information visit:

Provision at FAR 52.212-1 (JUL 2013), Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
1.  Providing pricing using Attachment 5 Pricing Sheet. 
2.  Provide commercial literature with your offers. 
3.  Describe your training that would be provided to include the length of time.
4.  Statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions and provisions included in the synopsis/solicitation.


Request for Quotation (RFQ) should be submitted with the required information contained within this clause and product literature to include specification of product.   

EVALUATION/AWARD: IAW FAR 52.212.2 (Jan 1999), Evaluation-Commercial Items, the Government will award a purchase order to the responsible, technically acceptable vendor, whose quote, conforming to the combined Synopsis/Solicitation, offers the lowest evaluated price.
