The U. S. Army Contracting Command, Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S.

Army / Joint Program Office for Chemical and Biological Defense, Force Protection

Systems has a requirement for a (Entry Control Point Phase 3) contract to provide

ruggedized, commercial off the shelf (COTS) Non-Intrusive Inspection Systems (NIIS) to

the United States Forces in Afghanistan. This requirement includes a twelve month on site

sustainment warranty, inclusive of installation, new equipment training, all scheduled and

unscheduled maintenance. SECRET level clearance is required. The contract is an

Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type, firm fixed price contract and delivery

orders will be issued for a three year base period and a two year option period. The

cumulative total of all delivery orders awarded to all awardees will not exceed

$248,512,500 over the life of the contract. The seven awardees for the ID/IQ type contract

are: Smiths Detection - Edgewood, Inc., Raytheon Company, Alutiiq 3SG, LLC, Rapiscan

Systems, Inc., American Science and Engineering, Inc., Bering Straits Information

Technology, LLC, Kazi Investment Group, LLC. A small business goal of 35% is in effect

and proposals shall address the small business plan.
