Description of the procurement:This Single Source award is part of FAA Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies, (SAVES) IT Hardware Contract, under the primary North American Industry Classification System Code 423430 - Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. This contract vehicle is used by all regions within the FAA for purchasing servers, storage arrays and media, Service plans, warranties, back up management software, power, VoIP, wireless, cables, routers, and switches.

Basis for Award Decision:This increased ceiling in the amount of $18,300,000.00 is estimated to cover 7 months, with two optional months, in order to allow for sufficient time to conduct a procurement for a replacement contract. The Agency has determined that the cost to administer multiple awards for IT Hardware procurements would negate the savings that the Agency has already realized through the investment of the Strategic Sourcing program. The FAA intends to conduct a competitive procurement for the follow on contract. All future announcements and updates regarding the competitive procurement will be posted publicly on the FAA Contracting Opportunities website.
