Description:



This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular # 2005-36. This combine synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) # SSA-RFQ-09-1890.



Submit written quotes. Oral quotes will not be accepted. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.bpn.gov). This procurement is being issued as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 332992 and its associated size is 1,000 employees.



Social Security Administration seeks to purchase ammunition for 39 Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General’s locations. Delivery of all items must be 30 days after award. All quotes should include the company’s number of employees, delivery time and the country of origin for all the products.



Additionally, all quotes should be FOB Destination prices to be considered. Payment will be made by invoice only. Net 30 terms apply.



This contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with the following Contract Line Items structure:



Item: 357 sig bonded 125 grain jacketed hollow point pistol ammunition for law enforcement

Quantity: 209,000 rounds



For the 357 sig pistol ammo, the ammunition must meet Sporting Arms & Ammunition Manufacturer’s Institute Inc. (SAMMI) specifications for the 357 sig. Also, the 357 sig ammunition must meet The American National Standard Voluntary Industry Performance Standards for Pressure & Velocity of Centerfire Pistol & Revolver Ammunition for the use of Commercial Manufacturers.



Item: 12 gauge 00 9 pellet buckshot 2 ¾” for law enforcement (250 rounds per case)

Quantity: 25 cases



The 12 gauge 2 ¾ “shotgun shells must meet the American National Standard Voluntary

Industry Performance Standards for Pressure & Velocity of Shotgun Ammunition for use of Commercial Manufacturers.



Item: 12 gauge rifled slug 2 ¾” low recoil for law enforcement (250 rounds per case)

Quantity: 31 cases



The 12 gauge 2 ¾ “shotgun shells must meet the American National Standard Voluntary Industry Performance Standards for Pressure & Velocity of Shotgun Ammunition for use of Commercial Manufacturers.



Inside delivery is required for 39 locations. The carrier must call all delivery locations 24 hours in advance to schedule delivery. A point of contact and number will be provided for all delivery locations.

Pursuant to FAR Part 13.106-1(a)(2), the award will be made based on price alone. The government reserves the right to award on an all or nothing basis. The government may purchase from the offeror that submits the lowest aggregate price rather than issue a purchase order to each supplier on the basis of the lowest quotation on each item.
