This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice to inform the public that the Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), has a requirement to provide comprehensive health care delivery plan services (the TRICARE Prime benefit) through a Managed Health Care Plan to eligible uniformed service beneficiaries. The Government is not requesting proposals or solicitation of offers as awards will be issued to six Designated Providers- Contractors:(1) Brighton Marine Health Center, Inc.-Boston MA; (2) CHRISTUS Health System-Houston TX, (3) Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corp-Glen Burnie, MD; (4) Martin's Point Health Care Center, Inc.-Portland ME; (5) Pacific Medical Center; Seattle WA; and (6) Saint Vincents Catholic Medical Center of NY-New York NY in accordance with FAR 6.302-5 Authorized or Required by Statute. Specifically, Title 10 U.S.C. § 1073, Sections 722 (b & f); 724 (e); 726 (a-d) and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Paragraphs 722(b) (1) and (2) of Subtitle C, Fiscal Year 1997, Public Law 104-201, mandates sole-source commercial-item contracts be negotiated with the six Designated Providers for services in their surrounding geographical areas. Period of Performance is one base period and nine, one year options.
