The National Science Foundation (NSF) hereby issues this synopsis to inform interested parties of a forthcoming solicitation for commercial item services to provide logistics, operational and other support for research projects and facilities in the Arctic according to the attached draft work statement. The current Contractor providing the Arctic research support and logistics services (ARSLS) is CH2M HILL Constructors, Inc. under contract ARC-0520837, which has a period of performance through May 31, 2012.

Industry feedback will be considered as NSF finalizes the RFP.

The RFP is tentatively scheduled for release in February 2011. This will be a full and open RFP and all interested companies are invited to participate regardless of business size. The RFP and any amendments, questions and answers, or clarifications regarding the solicitation will be posted solely to the Government Point of Entry at www.fbo.gov.
