The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a fixed priced order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), Strafford, CT to perform a trade study identifying systems and/or components suitable for incorporation into the VH-3D aircraft to upgrade the fuel system. Technologies exist that may improve system characteristics such as reliability, maintainability and crash survivability. This effort must consider use of such technologies while being consistent with the VH mission needs, weight limitations, timeline, and affordability constraints. SAC is the only source that currently meets these unique requirements for the VH-3D and VH-60N aircraft and the only source capable of meeting these requirements in the timeframe mandated to support these orders.

Successful completion of this effort will result in priced Substantiated Engineering Change Proposal (ECPs). This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Note 22
