This is a combined synopsis solicitation.


The United States Merchant Marine Academy has a requirement for the furnishing of all labor, material, supervision, tools and equipment to perform academy wide road repairs, including curbs and catch basins at its Kings Point, NY (Nassau county) campus.


 Performance period is 21 calendar days after receipt of Notice Proceed. Magnitude of Acquisition is $100,000 to $250,000.  A 60 day acceptance period is required.  Bid bonds are not required.  Miller Act is applicable. This is a 100% HUB Zone set-aside.

 A single firm - fixed price contract will be awarded to the low, responsible, responsive bidder. 


 A pre-bid conference/site tour will be held at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Furuseth Hall 3rd Floor Conference Room, 300 Steamboat Road, Kings Point, N.Y. at 09:30 a.m. local time on Monday June 23, 2014.  Attendance is not mandatory, however, all potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend as this will be the only site visit held.  There will be no response to any other request for site visits.  Representative(s) from the USMMA DPW office will be present.


 To be eligible for award a contractor must be actively registered in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov database. It is the responsibility of interested parties to visit www.FBO.gov frequently for any updates/amendments.
