The NHLBI Genomics Portal (GenPort) is a public-cloud-based resource that provides user-friendly access to individual-level genomics data from selected heart, lung, blood, and sleep studies, together with high performance computing capacity and tools for harmonizing phenotypes across studies, creating synthetic cohorts, visualizing and analyzing data, and educating investigators in methods for using high-throughput data in NHLBI-relevant research. GenPort will allow biomedical researchers with or without specialized expertise in genomics or informatics to make practical use of the data available from existing cohort studies with extensive phenotypic and genomics datasets.
