This amendment will answer the following questions:

1. Does the Library of Congress want a profile to prevent configuring WEP access on a device?

2. Does this mean the Library of Congress wants to force devices to always use WPA2 for WiFi?

Answer to 1 & 2: It is assumed that wireless access points are, by nature, insecure. Please explain how your solution utilizes an encryption method to secure these access points.

3. All wireless access points utilized for the LCWN must conform to the IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g wireless protocols

These are typically hardware specific requirements - can the Library of Congress please explain further what the intent of this requirement is?

Answer to 3: The intent of this requirement is to address a concern over use of smartphones as wifi hotspots. These hotspots may not be encrypted by default and could allow others to connect to the network with no password. Please explain how your solution addresses this potential vulnerability.

4. In order to provide a cost estimate we will need an estimated number of users that will require MDM. Could the Library of Congress please provide us with an estimate number of potential MDM users?

Answer to 4: 3,000 users
