The U.S. Maritime Administration intends to acquire on a Sole Source basis services from WARTSILA DEFENSE, INC., 3617 KIPPENS WAY, CHESAPEAKE, VA  23323, for the testing of and repair of the Wartsila Diesel Generator Control and Monitoring System aboard the T.S. KENNEDY.  The T.S. KENNEDY is berthed at her pier at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.



The T.S. Kennedy's Wartsilla Diesel Generator monitoring and control system is malfunctioning and the complexity of the interface programing requires the knowledge of a factory trained, authorized technical representative with OEM parts to repair it with the maximum efficiency and minimum risk..  Wartsila Defense, Inc is the OEM representative in the USA.


 


This notice is not a request for proposals/quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements by emailing their Capability Statement (CS) or faxing the CS at 757-322-5858 by 1430 ET, Friday, August 2, 2013. Capability statements must include documentation establishing the ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. Interested persons should identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
