The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), the investigative arm of Congress, is currently considering the acquisition of microsimulation modeling services to estimate the costs of selected federal programs if the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico were to be granted statehood. Results of the work will assist GAO to respond expeditiously to a congressional request.  The model and its results should meet GAO's evidence and data quality standards, and should be the product of subject matter specialists experienced with the federal programs, and associated data, that are within the scope of GAO's work.
