The Cereal Value Chains (millet sorghum and Rice) award will contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of the USAID/Mali FtF strategy by contributing primarily to food access in terms of increased incomes and ability to purchase food; secondarily, to increased availability in terms of main season production and off-season or integrated production of more diverse and nutritious foods; and thirdly, to enhanced utilization, which includes behavior change at the household level that applies nutritional education, both knowledge and practice, to consuming increased quantities of high quality healthy food.
