Environmental Project Management, Arizona re Endangered Species Act Section 7



1. Background:

The U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Secure Border Initiative (SBI) is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of managing multiple environmental projects, primarily located in Arizona. The projects are the result of the formal consultation requirements of Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act; specifically the projects will reduce the adverse impacts on listed species, improve the species’ habitats, and promote the recovery of the species.



Sources are sought which are capable of performing tasks including, but not limited to the following:



•Program management;

•Contract management;

•Financial management;

•Legal expertise with environmental statutes and implementing regulations;

•Technical expertise and experience with executing projects in accordance with Department of Interior rules and regulations



2. Desired Information:

(a) General background and qualifications of your company or organization.

(b) Past experience of your company or organization in performing similar management or executing similar projects. This should include reference contact information for clients from past projects.

(c) Typical fee, whether a fixed amount, percentage, or other system, charged for this sort of activity.

(d) Qualifications of key personnel in your company or organization.

(e) Any information that especially provides insight into your company or organization’s familiarity with the Endangered Species Act, Department of Interior rules and regulations, or working with the Department of Interior or state environmental/natural resources conservation agencies.
