Market Research for Reupholster Service of waiting room chairs at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This does not constitute a solicitation. The information gathered from this request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only. The Government is not obligated, nor shall it pay for, any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice.

The purpose of this notice is to identify mandatory sources of supply as required by FAR 8.002 and small business entities capable of providing Reupholster services as follows:


Scope: Contractor to provide all labor, tools and supervision necessary to remove existing upholstery, staples and recover wooden open arm waiting room chairs.

a. Contractor is required to pick-up the chairs currently being stored at Workplace Resources facility, 8999 Western Way Street 106, Jacksonville FL.

b. Contractor is required to pick-up the government provided fabric located at the 4460 SW 35th Terrace, Suite101, Gainesville FL 32607 prior to reupholstery.

c. Upon completion of reupholstery the service contractor is required to deliver the finished chairs to 4460 SW 35th Terrace, Suite 101, Terrace Gainesville FL 32607.

d. Top stitch on each seam is required to add additional strength of seams.

Style Name: Hampton Open Arm (Exposed wood arm and leg)

Qty: 129 each

*Fabric to be provided by Government and Installed by Contractor:

(1) 96 Square yards of Designtex Florin Sepia Fabric, Style #3223 103

(2) 98 Square yards of Designtex Florin Aluminum Fabric, Style #3223 401

*Any additional fabric will be provided by the government.

Period of Performance: All work to be completed within four weeks of receipt of material and chairs.
