The purpose of this activity is to build the capacity of government agencies, civil society, the private sector, and other key stakeholders to be better prepared to mitigate impacts of oil and gas exploration and production on biodiversity of the Albertine Rift. The Contractor shall work with Makerere University  to establish programs that will provide short-term training, as well as full degree programs at the Post-Graduate, Masters and/or PhD level to prospective students. Additionally, the program will carry out research on issues related to biodiversity conservation and oil development in the Albertine Rift.
