NASA/GSFC plans to issue a draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for the follow-on to NASAs SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) IV Procurement. SEWP contracts offer a wide range of advanced technology including tablets, desktops and servers; IT peripherals; network equipment; storage systems; security tools; software products; cloud based services; video conferencing systems and other IT and Audio-Visual products. Product based services such as installation, training, maintenance and warranty are also available through SEWP. As a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract, the SEWP contracts are utilized by all Federal Agencies. It is anticipated that SEWP V will award multiple commercial firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts. This procurement is for 4 competition areas consisting of one Category A computer system group, and 3 Category B supporting equipment groups. Each of the groups has specific requirements and functional tasks that must be met by the offerings in that group. However, the potential usage of any group is broad and may be based on a variety of applications beyond the specific group definition. These groupings are to ensure that the Government has a sufficient set of the best available tools for given tasks. The groupings do not imply either exclusive product offerings by the contractor nor do they restrict the Government from making best value judgments as to which group to use to meet their specific requirements. The contracts will be awarded by both Category and Group as follows: Category A (Computer Systems/Servers) NAICS 334111 Group A Computer Based Systems Category B (Complementary Products) NAICS 541519 Group B Mass Storage Devices (Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside) Group C Server Support Devices/Multi-Functional Devices (Small Business Set-Aside) Group D Networking/Security/Video and Conference Tools The anticipated release date of the draft RFP is on or about February 8, 2013 with industry comments and inquiries due April 12, 2013. The draft RFP will be posted on-line with an interactive comment functionality. All comments and inquiries and Government responses will be posted through the on-line draft RFP. Instructions on how to access the draft RFP will be included in the release announcement. The anticipated release date of the final RFP will be early Summer 2013 with proposals due late Summer 2013. The anticipated award date is May 1, 2014. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
