Defense Information System Contracting Office (DITCO) is issuing a DRAFT Request for Proposal on behalf of the Enterprise Services Directorate (ESD) of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) which has a requirement for Commercial Cloud Services in support of customer requirements across the Department of Defense (DoD).

This requirement is for Commercial Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and associated support services. Service Lines to be delivered under this award include: Cloud-Based Storage, Virtual Machine, Database, and Web Hosting Services. It is envisioned that services delivered under a future award must fulfill a set of common enterprise-wide requirements.

The Defense Information Systems Agency is currently reassessing demand within the Department for commercial cloud solutions meeting the DoD's security requirements for hosting/processing government data at the Cloud Security Model Impact Levels1 & 2. Initial indications are the demand will not require a contract with the ceiling estimated in this draft solicitation.  We are currently revising our acquisition strategy for satisfying requirements for hosting public non-sensitive data in commercial cloud environments.  This strategy may result in a solicitation for a new contract at a significantly lowered ceiling or the leveraging of contracts previously awarded which contain the appropriate scope for meeting this demand.
